I have just downloaded the demo version of Sprint Layout 6 in Ubuntu, and used the Wine Windows Program Loader. Then I was able to view the .lay6 file without any problems.

                  • @ Nick : nice work , now wait for someone to build it

@Qiaozhi: thank you for the link - so there is no native linux version.

                    @Arionas: thanks for showing it.

The wire jumper on the left - near the power connector seems to connect 2 ground planes that are already connected ?

                    • v2 of the pickini v4 smd pcb with corrections

                      hi bernard
                      hi all
here is the corrected pcb (i say it wasn t error free!!!) and i find some
so i corrected all i saw ,the wrong smd transistor pinout ,some track was a little thick, and i made it a little bit smallest 68X33 mm
if someone are interested and see other tell it and i ll correct it
                      thanks

                      • Nice work, Nick

How do you plan to program the SMD PIC ?
Pre-program it and solder it on the board ? -> impossible to update it afterwards.
You could also stuff a small connector to the programming pins so that it can be updated in the field ?
Not that any updates are needed of course...
With my prototypes, I like to update a lot to try out different things. In that case, an onboard programming connector would be the only solution.

                        • Hello Nick can you name all parts according to shematic? IC1 ,IC2 R1......
just to be sure if we get Problems that we discuss over same partnumbers

i am sure i make this smd pcb this Weekend, nice dimensions

and for professionell production you can Switch all holes to trough hole plating
there is no additionel Charge at most producers

                            hi bernard
                            hi bernt
i made some little changes, named components (2k2,1k,4p7) add a pickit connector that can be made by shunt (so you have to delete tracks before) or by double sided pcb,i saw too i ve forgotten the 470µf capacitor near 7805 ( couldn't it be really forgotten ,is it really necessary???),i named output (threshold, pinpoint etc..)
bernt beware!!!! i m not sure of the electrolytic capacitor and resistor footprint check them before etching (at first it was just for fun for me!!) i have not the habit with smd component
for better understanding about the pcb look this with photo vue tool
                            thanks all
i m waiting for your reply

According to the datasheet - http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm78l05.pdf you need 330 µF at the input.
There is already the 2200µF directly on the battery input, but not located closely to the 5V regulator.
I assume you could safely omit the 470µF or replace it with some SMD smaller capacitor ( 1 - 10 µF )

                              • little changes

                                hi all
                                hi bernard
i ve made little change to fit the resistor 0805 smd foot print, and adapt condensator foot print too, corrected the pickit header (we will just have to put the pickit on the pcb and burning progr!!!)
i ve tell to microchip to send me some pic16f1824 smd sample so now i m waiting for and bought some lm318 soic too (but in aliexpress so i have to wait a looooooong time !!!)
i havent added a 1µf cap near 7805 (will do it soon)
i have made an excel file of all the component we need to do pikini ,we have just to print it now (i join it with my pcb revision)
                                have nice day
