              • has anyone done a newer layout variant with integrated 4046 vco block, or a smd variant?
                latest mod i have done was a external board with 4046 vco, but audio direct output form 4046 driven by two 2n2222 ist not the best sound

                  Try RC filters for 4046 power and control voltage.

                    I have built Mr. Mickstv's VCO (4046) but i have some problems. Since you could build it, so i hope you can help me.
                    As you know, pin-1 of its first opamp must be adjusted to 0 mv. Do you remember your voltage?

                            I didn't measure it, if your layout is in accordance with the MickTV scheme, your VCO will definitely work, and I use a separate audio Amplifire from the VCO
