Good quality metal detector. I attached some pictures and technical specs. I do not have schematic. It is non motion md, volume and sensitivity pots, nice connectors, rubber gaskets for battery compartment and front panel, nice strong shaft (half aluminum half fiberglass).

I did some air test's inside room and it sees a gold wedding band at 30cm. I took the detector outside, far from any metal and I can't reach the threshold limit, sensitivity pot being at max clockwise. With this settings i got only 15cm for same gold ring. Better ask here before i start playing with the trim pots from pcb. I was thinking to add a series resistor with the pot.

    Thanks

if you can post all values from all parts we can build one
i have an used coil here too, coil works also with other detectors

I had one for a while, but did not get on with it and sold it a while back. One big problem is that most coils were unshielded, although some later ones had shielded coils apparently. This means that unshielded ones false a lot on a wet beach. Another problem was that the threshold drifted negative, so you would gradually lose sensitivity. Any re-design would benefit from a self adjusting threshold like the VMH3CS.

        Eric.

i can make a lot of picture if you are interested, but i don't have time to draw the schematic. It looks very complicated, and surf pi or baracuda is superior to this md. each detector have it's own purpose.

I am somewhat surprised that this one wasn't turned into a project by anyone here. In case anyone is interested towards the very end of the attached document are the various test points for the PCB.

I have one in the basement but why do you want to loose time on such old technology? Air tests showed nothing impressive and exciting. I just like the box. Its very well built.
