I am wanting to finally upgrade from my old Garrett XL500 PI detector to something much better. I have read many of the threads on the Baracuda, Surf PI, Mirage, etc. Seems ther are pros and cons with each, but I would like to know which of the DIY PI detectors would be a good choice for me to build?
I like the new Mirage by Sven, but there are no boards available at this time. Since there has been a lot of members here thaty have plenty of experience with the different detectors, which one(s) are the best for saltwater(underwater) use, looking mostly
for gold, but also silver?
I know this is like asking truck guys which they like better.....Ford, Ram, Chevy, etc, so lets try and be objective here and not emotional, especially if it is a design you created.
I am open to all suggestions. I can have my own board made if there are schematics or gerber files available. This is in case there are boards that are currently out of stock.
