  • Thanks.

By the way, because my machine does not have any integration, I don't need a pinpoint button, I can pinpoint all the time ..

      • Hey Guys.

I have finished the PCB. Does anyone know of a good/cheap PCB manufacturer in the US or UK?
I usually use SEEED Studio in China, but their shipping is non existent still after Covid-19 ..

        Cheers

          Try https://jlcpcb.com/
I probably wouldn't trust having the boards shipped by China Post, but DHL should be ok.

be prepared for a 2-3 week delay from either Jlpcb or Pcbway into our neck of the woods SaltyDog.
Things are heating up on the political side and you might be best to wait and see what transpires over the next week or so until the air is bit cleaner.

            cheers

            • Is there an “off the shelf” coil fast enough to use for this project?

Not sure yet, will do tests once I have my new hardware built ....
I did have an "off-the-shelf" coil that I had bought years back (don't ask me where) and that seemed to work ok with my gold ring, not sure about small gold.

I will be doing a raft of tests when I get the hardware going ...

Here is what the board looks like .. all components are 1206 or bigger ... my eyes are getting old

                        • Regarding pre-amplification, are we choosing differential amplification or instrumentation amplifier more reasonable? Please give your suggestions, or give an excellent pre-amplifier circuit, thank you

                          • I am using a two stage pre-amp, the first to give give a 0..3v output, the 2nd stage is a sliding-window differential amp that allows me to further amplify just a portion of the wave form from the 1st stage ...
                            Hope that makes sense ..

I ordered 5 PCBs from JLCPCB on the 21st May 2020, and received them on the 30th May 2020.
Only 9 days from start to finish. From China to the UK using DHL Packet European. It was shipped via Germany, which is the European distribution centre.

                              • Similar here for order made in May 11th. Good thing is that I didn't have to deal with DHLs customs procedures.
