I recently built a PI detector from a kit of parts and came across this for the power supply on EBay.

I've used it for awhile now and its fine. Lasts me for about 5 hours continuous use.

THought it may be of interest to others building their own kit.

for most diy projects here in forum you can use 3*18650 to achieve around 12V
cell holders are available since some years
