    • Hi Speedy-G
Can you tell me if the PIC18F252-I/SP, can function in the circuit instead of PIC18F252-E/SO discriminator.
      Thank you. Jose

        Hi Jose

I found a schematic diagram of the Delta Pulse 2+ LCD for PIC18F252-I/SP on the internet, which is the one that I followed. I did NOT use the PIC18F252-E/SO part as the latter is a surface-mounted microprocessor. However, if you have any difficulty in obtaining the Delta Pulse 2+ logo when you switch on the LCD at the start, it could be because the start-up delay is too short and generally the PIC would need to be reprogrammed with a longer delay to allow the LCD to receive the data timeously.
Alternatively, As I mentioned in a previous post at the Thunting forum, another reason why the LCD was not working very well could be the result of using an LCD module from a different manufacturer (some LCD modules from the 'East' are notoriously slow in accessing their data). For example, with some of these LCD modules, the Delta Pulse Logo did not appear automatically and only garbled letters appeared on the top row of LCD screen. This situation occurs when one uses the LCD models WH1602b (Winstar), DEM16216, GDM1602A or LMB162GDC (Topway) - this was much improved without changing the software (hex file), but using a different LCD model, such as ACM1602S (American Zettler Inc), MC1602J-SYL (Everbouquet) or DV-20400 (Data Vision). I found that these LCD's that worked with the Delta Pulse 2+ were more expensive than the ones made in China.
        Hope this answers your question.

            Hi Alonejax

I think that there has been an improvement in the development of the Delta Pulse 3. As you very well know, this version of the Delta Pulse has suffered much from instability problems and is very sluggish in its detection response.
The turkish site has posted some information on a modified Delta Pulse 3 which is now called Delta Pulse III S and the circuit is reminiscent of the Crazy-Star-1 lite version. If the Delta Pulse III S is able to discriminate between ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as the Crazy-Star-1, it promises to be an excellent metal detector.
I post here the PCB, circuit and bill of materials for anyone who may be interested in it. However, we will need the hex file for the PIC18F452 microprocessor. Hopefully, someone out there may be able to help us with this. I hope that the software for this promising version of the Delta Pulse III S will not be a 'crippled demo' but a version with, say, 500 on/off cycles like the PIM-2 detector, so that the amateur detectorist can go ahead and build this one.
            Obrigado

              Hi

You can be two things are not good

First your coil is bad not have good value
The second is the frequency that is to be set with the PR1
Finally if you have not succeeded to remedy this problem

do eliminate the manual mode and leave only the automatic mode

              the problem is resolved

              Good Luk

                    Hi Nicolas
I agree with you totally. Considering that the Delta Pulse 3 has been a no-starter from its inception, I suggest that one of you so-called Gurus begin a new thread for the Delta Pulse III S and take it from there. Any suggestions who might do this?

                    Obrigado

why do not you give here source file.Unable BE Tests to improve the delta Without them .. It is pointless .. please if anyone has source file to post here..

                      • what I've learned so far with a view to separating are as follows ..
Everyone knows curve eddy enhance comes the distinction according to the conductivity of the subsoil material ..
If we put in this curve is a tendency REFERENCE then we can get distinction Ferrous and nonferrous if course has been thought first or digitize the signal ..
And here is my question. if enclosed in a metal box is valuable then the indication we get ???
                        Please share here knowledge

When I touch T5E pole can be gained when the short sound, when I took the T2 has a very good voice can detect metal, return the T2 triode and tracking problems like the original, where the problem, I want to check there
