one question. why those guys ask constantly how retune DP on gold nuggets but not ask how retune Pulse Star, Lorenz Pulse 5, bulgarian Puls Star?
no schematics? no! - hammerhead, MPP, surf pi, bara - MASSIVE TO LEARN! but they again and again ask only in DP thread. THAT IS BAD!

Has anyone noticed for example when working with large coil 1x1, when there's slight change (10cm or so) of the distance between the coil and ground there's need to use the Reset button. Can we call this instability or it's just the normal way the device works? If working on uneven terrain it gets boring to constantly reset.

many times answered. more actively use GROUND BALANCE pot (SECOND SAMPLE DELAY). normal is slight change
of sound if you hang up the coil far of ground. while this is normal thing for ALL TYPES of true SAT static non-motion detector, to be IB-VLF or PI type, but you so surprised why on DP.
if you hang up a coil of Whites Classic in ALL METAL mode you get the same. read manual and you
will see that balance on ground means 5 cm of distance from ground you do, but not 20 or 30 and more -!
if you do not want the sound was change so make another, 'motion', type detector and ignore DP.

I plan to use single chip microcomputer instead of 556 and 556. And with 1602 display shows various data adjustment, I want to ask everybody's opinion, how to increase the detection range?

do you wish to go by turkish way? to repeat delta pulse -2. delta pulse -3, PIM-2, PIM-3?
you can increase the depth of DP only with word of Alla'h on your lips. the holy Kuran in hands and some mantras
(you have NOT to drink and smoke in this process time! another way you get not the result!).

And with 1602 display - BAD! use color 128 x 64 pixs matrix. 1602 had dead in projects.

Can use 12864 display, this is not important, the important of how to improve the hardware circuit, increase the detection range,

What KT315 is trying to say is... nothing is gained with the LCD version, just the opposite - you can hardly change settings because freq, pulse width is controlled by a controller and you don't have access to it's source.

Analog (oldie) style delta offers same (if not more) than other LCD solutions, stick with it. Even if modifications to increase detection range exist, those are not public due to being the result of much experiments, simulations, many blown IRFs, time and nerves.

If you need more than what's being offered you must spend some time with it and hopefully you will get that expected 10 meters for burried tank / 10 tons of gold, whatever is what you're looking for.
