HARDLY built a coil 270mm And I want to compare the result with YOU to tell me if it is satisfactory..
with a currency of europe the two Euro it delta perceived at a distance 260mm..
this is a good distance ????
what are your own results with such a small coil..

DP is not working with small coil. yes, you certainly can test can probe can tune DP in your house and this will be VERY right. but ONLY for the experiment. DP is working with HUGE coils. normal MINIMAL coil for DP begins from 60-80cm. NOT 180 NOT 210 NOT 260 and NOT 320mm -!! why you may be ask... because PRIMARY STROBE DELAY is 40usec (ubnormal for money digging beach ordinary PI detectors with small coil), NOT like you maybe see in bara, surf and hammerhead having 10-15usec minimum PRIMARY STROBE DELAY. SO DP is NOT FOR DEPTH TESTING ON A COIN. even cola can for 1x1m coil is VERY SMALL target for DP, NOT right target for the depth testing.

GOOD targets for testing on depth for DP - helmet, pail, shovel, car, metal garage doors.

Where is the large electrolytic cap across battery input terminal? Some capacitors are with too large raster for given value, 3 electrolytics too big. Spacing from chips to nearest components reduced to 100mil, 150 is recommended...better expand board to some round dimension, like 160x80mm and less crammed. Make it best in the world, I will find something to criticize...in absence of some more useful task to do.

did you read what GS wrote? http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...21088-Power-pi This result is ( delta pulse) but with huge panel
while size of pcb is only 153 x 67mm. battery itself is the electrolitic cap. good batt=good cap, bad batt=low cap.
electrolitic cap across battery does not encrease stability, this was experimintally tested. if you take even 10000uF
it will be << (much less) than battery capacitance. anyway you can add the caps locating its outside.

electrolitics have standart formfactor. not miniature. here at pic is 220uF 16V electrolitic.

where you was been early I did King Cobra board? )) read GS, for him the DP board is huge. IMO with all pots at board it has enough size.
if I will do 150 mil spacing some critical traces will be still more longer. this is not optimal.

round dimension may be in inches too. for american people. for you - I believe you are european man - inches are not round dimension and something un-harmonic
un-balanced bad.
