i buy lf357n and replaced to ne5532(alexis schematic) but have a few problem
1-in pin 3 ne555 have -10.35v and in pin 6 lf357n have 5.6v and in drain(irf740)have not 600 volt(it is -0.7v) .what is the mistake?please help
and my pcb have not problem.and chek all parts and all are true.

for example pin3 555 i get -10.33 no 10v,and have problem in bd140correct ororrect?
and havenot in drain of irf740 340v by multimeter why?
please help.

I do have a sense of humor, sick though it may be.

Do you have your amplifier selection straightened out? I think you received some bad advice about:

1. NE5532 (dual opamp and will not match the existing PCB circuit).
2. LF357 (good, opamp, but has alternate offset-null pinout (1,5). Again, will not match the PCB circuit (offset null pins 1,.

I believe NE5534 is what your PCB was meant to accommodate, so that's what you will find easiest to use.

Hi all
i think my second pcb is finish(but dont know how measure the irf740)
today i experimental match all my pcb and Adjustment all TPs(TP1 to TP6)in third pcb,when i Adjustment two led in forth pcb are off but when i connect the search coil red led be on,why?
Of course speaker have not sounds to whether With searh coil or Without that why?my speaker 32ohm and 0.4w.
More important is when i get gold coin beside coil no led no ampermeter work ,but when i get Iron coin near the coil red led have Very little gleam and on but omper meter dont work , why?
every know i dont chek that by oscope and i do that experimental.
i want now this coil is good for this detector if you need i take picture of my coil and my pcbs.i need help
and when i connect coil to the pcb this have voice like z-z-z-z..

my coil is alike stuart 1 :

The winding of this coil is not difficult butthe size and number of turns are critical.There must be 27 turns, each single turn

being a loop from start to finish.

To make a coil former all that is requiredis a piece of wood upon which a 190mmcircle can be drawn. A veneered chipboardoffcut is ideal. Use 16 panel pins or othersmall nails fitted with a 10mm length ofsleeving and space them equally around thecircle as shown in Fig. 4. The winding wire should be 0.71mmdiameter enamelled copper and 20m long, leave a free length of

1.5m and carefully wind 27 turns around the pins.

and other (metal) in over dept if you want i can give information for that.
i think gold scan 4 is a good detector too
is in your pulse star a program able ic?can you show a shematic of puls star?

yes first you should make your pcb and test them,first test power supply and next test pcb of oscillator(mr georgi said how adjustment)and if it work well continued,

my friend My big problem is i have not oscope and should go to collage for test it and it is not easy for me.
ok when i make that and get the good result i put for you (i put pcb design but yet my result not good ok)
