Do not laugh, but a push button to inhibit the servo, but working on multi decay curve samples or similar, for good reason I do not want to expand the collection of lock out patents from particular companies…say too much and lose it, years ago we discussed phase flipping to null ground response, look as to how that ended up. Nothing could be worse than seeing the corporate vacuum cleaner go over other people’s prior I.P, and get commercialised and they get zilch.

Ii is also understandable that you should want to protect that knowledge from exploitation by potential commercial competitors or any foolhardy amateur willing to butcher his gear in the search for the ultimate detector.
Tossing crumbs into the crowd and teasing of huge improvements, without providing any details or examples, is just psuedo altruism designed to self promote and attract attention.
The real altruists on this forum give their time, knowledge, experience and, I'm sure in many circumstances, their own money in the persuit of the ultimate challenge of creating the greatest gear and aren't afraid of commercial exploitation of their sometimes incredible creations.
Freely sharing those creations and the appreciation that garners from forum users worldwide may not put food on the table but is marvelled at by myself and many others.
Those real creators revel in the company of like minded individuals with whom they can share and collaborate and create new marvels to share with the world.
Us mere mortals get to use/copy/steal the fruits of their combined intellect. Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery by those that appreciate their brilliance and generosity.
I, for one, appreciate their true altruism
PS. I know nothing about detectors but am slowly learning.

I made a metal detector according to the SD2000 schematic on the internet. Depth and sensitivity are very good.
I watched Detector Mods' videos a lot and according to the information he gave me, I repaired many GP series machines.
I have sd2000
