    Hi Detectorist#1,

what is actually "Antenna 1" (W1) & "Antenna 2" (W4) each 25mm in your sensor board schematic?

      Hi GeoMax,

These are simple wires and the purpose is to adding a symmetry in receiving signals. The reason is - the receiving board is in strong TX field from TX coils. This allow to avoid using of special screen of this sensor board
      situated in Tx field.

        Hi GeoMax,

Attached is assembly view of the sensor board. Two orange wires works as antennas for decay field of TX coils. This add to symmetry in receiving signals. Very hard received knowledge after many attempts!

          Hi All,
Maybe this project will be useful for wide types of soils (places) if the overall size of searching head is scaled for the different surfaces - plaint or curves. For Australian conditions - bigger diameters - for European conditions - smaller diameters.

This project not suffers from EFE and from influence from ground - no need for special GB techniques.

Yes, The technic for searching have to be different - when the signal from the target is received - next step have to using of a pinpointer. The balanced Rx coils not allow searching over the holes in the ground!

Yes, this solution suffers when the response from the target is equal to response from the ground - but this is the price for the simplicity of the design.

                  Hi All,

Attached is new version of this project with power supply by 2pcs 18650 accumulators. This allow to put the power source inside the box. The charge of these accumulators is from standard adapter for 2S LiPo accumulators like "Hobby King B3 AC" type.

                    Hi,
The schematic of the voltage divider on pin 2 of U8 on page 6 is wrong.
                    Attached is corrected scheme.

                      Hi,
For further improvement of the TX power and more early Rx sample, the final Tx switches and reverse diodes have to be changed to SiC technology. Also this needs to increase of the Tx voltage from 12V to 15V.
Attached is this new scheme with these changes.

As Sic FETs you have to use some of the next types:
                        1. C3M0350120J from Cree
                        2. G3R350MT12J from GeneSic
                        3. IMBG120R234M2HXTMA1 from Infineon
                        4. UF3C120400B7S from Qorvo ( Unitedsic)

As SiC reverse voltage protecting diodes you have to use:
                          1. WNSC2D021200D from Ween
                          2. GD02MPS12E from GeneSic
                          3. IDM02G120C5XTMA1 from Infineon

Will be interesting to use “Super D” shape for searching head for this project. This will allow “nulling” of the Rx signals and will allow early sampling of the Rx signals (as Carl said). Unfortunately, I have not found the source for this type of empty case. Preparing of this case is too complicated to made for me. Two Rx coils have to be connected in opposite manner as in gradiometer connecting (not as ML Super D searching Head). This will reduce distance of searching in “All” mode but will allow more easy of Fe recognize in “Fe” mode.

                              Hi All,
Attached is the new variant of the schematic with 1700V SiC transistors as Tx switches. This allow to increase of the working frequency and to reduce the 1/f noise of the first Rx stage. As a total result, this have to increase the sensitivity of the detector.
