hi everybody this is my first topic
    i have a 2 questions
i need metal detector for vetrerinary to detect small iron piece inside animals stomach like a cow
i build a felezjoo with 20cm coil and im familiar with it
i was wondering if it work
    my secont question
if i can use a metal enclosure for my pcb and battery like the picture or the intererence effect detecting
    thanks

for animal (caw) = you need these transformations.
    Metal box is ok.

      How small?
An air test will give you a good idea of what you can detect and how far. Detecting something in a cow will be very close to detecting in air.

The foreign bodies most commonly found in the stomachs of cows are wires of a few centimetres in length, followed by nails. Objects from activities around the farm are the most likely origin, such as metal components of old tyres used for securing tarpaulins over fodder or silage, bits of fencing broken off when cutting hedges, and waste from building sites.......

cattle farmers quite often use Magnets of a few centimetres in length are placed in the cow's stomach via oral administration. By attracting and trapping metal fragments, the magnets stop them migrating and causing injury to fragile organs
sometimes the magnets will do the job sometimes you need to search deep inside the animal
this video will give you an example

Somewhere on the forum I wrote an extensive post with the story.
Ah, now I think I remembered, on the PS2 topic.
In short; our country imports these detectors for the Ministry of Agriculture from Germany.
I tested one... total failure, despair, misery... very bad and "shallow"!
A professional veterinarian approached me for help.
He brought with him a bunch of various metals extracted from animals (mostly cows) during operations.
That was at the very beginning of the "lockdown" at the beginning of the Covid crisis.
At that time, due to circumstances, I had a bunch of different detectors in the house.
We tested all the detectors for those pieces of metal. NONE met the criteria.
And then I tested the Pulse Star 2 with the 18cm coil.
Pulse Star 2 delighted, it showed results 30% better than the set criteria.
So the vet bought from me that Pulse Star 2 with an 18cm coil. He still uses it to this day.
I keep 6 cats in the house, from time to time the same vet visits me to vaccinate the cats.
And I always ask him about his experiences with that detector.
            He is very pleased.
There is no need to develop various dubious theories about such a detector.
Any slightly better PI detector with a small coil will do the job.
FelezJoo is more than good for such a task. BUT it should be done well, especially the coil.

I have found it on my channel, this one was the first PS2 I made, the vet bought this one from me:
(but he painted it with spray paint in green color!!!) hahahahahahahaha!

This is the very first test with random micro coil, without discrimination board:
(Of course, with proper 18cm coil it works like a charm! Extreme "depths", twice deeper than lame Germany detector)

I thought the same thing. But it's not like that!
Detection through living tissue is BETTER!
I suspect it is due to the salt and minerals in the tissue and blood vessels.
The Pi detector works much better and successfully detects even the smallest pieces of metal in a cow, for example.

I don't see any problem with that.
