  • Metal detector for medium-large objects

    Hello all
What metal detector can be nominated as the best device for medium and large objects with a coil 50cm-1m
More stable, does not emit false signals, and is suitable for magnetized soil and hot stones

Is there someone who has a project or schematic that we can start discussing? Or an idea
Or even make an important modification to a device

There are some important projects, some of which have been forgotten despite their efficiency, and some of which have generated a lot of ink.
Some members raised very important topics regarding pulse induction devices.

These are matters that require a lot of time and money. There are people in the forum who have done a lot and did not skimp on information.
I would like to thank you all without mentioning names so as not to do injustice to anyone.

    Important example
I saw Mr. ivonic made a great effort regarding goldscan 4 and shared all the information here
Likewise, Mr.Carl-NC and Eduardo1979 in other projects.

Question: Is it possible to develop a program to make a device by a group of amateurs under the guidance of professionals?
For cooperation and facilitation of work.

Just ideas that might be useful to everyone. Waiting for friends' contributions

If you are wanting to make a 1m coil that you stand in the middle of and walk around, that's a different design than a 50cm coil that you swing back & forth in the usual manner. The former is probably a single channel static PI, the latter is a 2-channel motion PI. So the first thing is to decide exactly what you want, and that likely depends on what you are looking for and the terrain conditions. Then we can help you get there.

Mr. Karl, thank you for the answer. It was very important....
I made pi polones....For the vlf metal detector I made IDX PRO and admiral

In fact, I want to make two different pi devices...
Because the terrain is diverse (a mountain close to the sea), the weather is cold in the winter with humidity, and extremely hot in the summer, and the soil in some places is mineralized... due to the difference in targets between the medium and relatively large ones, and the difference in depths as well, given that the place has an old factory and Abandoned dwellings for a long time (there are pieces of iron in some places). For these reasons, I want to benefit from both techniques.

The most important goal is to gain more experience and learning...and to create a more professional and stable pulse induction device
        thank you Mr. Karl

You could start by making the Delta Pulse, because it is a very good detector and has an auto tuning circuit.
The Super Scan could also be useful for you. It is a good detector, but in mineralized soil it usually causes problems as it does not have a channel for ground balance. In this case, you could make the GS4 or the GS5 that I published and I assure you that one of those detectors will help you search in highly mineralized terrain.

There are many versions of the GS-6 flying around the internet, but this is the correct one.
