    Comparisons between the original White's TDI SL battery and a higher voltage battery pack I made.

    Project battery 16v

    Left the scope running and changed from the original (11.88v) to the project battery (16v). Of course, this is just voltage and has nothing to do with current.

    This would explain why I couldn't measure much increase in detection depth between the 2 batteries. I'm guessing the SL has a more advanced regulating system than the regular TDI.

    Why would the voltage have nothing to do with current? Did changing the battery change the resistance of the circuit?

      You're right can't change one without the other changing. I'm guessing the internal circuit might regulate the voltage.
