  • Preamp input resistor

Hi, can someone explain why preamp input resistor is too hot?
On my design TX frequency is 2,7Khz - 100uS.
Preamp circuit is standart with Ne5534 opamp.
I use 1k/5W resistor on input opamp but it is too hot, what cause heating this resistor?

The flyback can be several hundred volts resulting in a clamp current of several hundred mA. It's normal for the resistor to get hot.
