I am a person who works by testing everything practically rather than theory. It got hot when I put a regulator ic. Actually, when you put 3 in parallel, it works fine. Do not forget that this circuit requires more negative current. Also, when taking just 200mA from cheap Chinese ic, it gets hot.

Yes I did it and it worked I couldn't find LM709 I put LM741 instead it works but not very deep

I also looked at several options. It didn't work. There are no substitutes for LM 709. Substitutes will reduce the sensitivity of the instrument.

Be patient a little more. An IMAGE with complete details and a PCB will be posted next week. 100% work done by me. I will try to upload a VIDEO of the device made for my friend. Good example is "Minipulse Plus Beach Rev.E". This project haves many advantages:
- Possibility of working with fast coils (mono or DD)
- Wide diapason of setting of the first delay
- Wide diapason of setting of the sample pulses
- Independent frequency of the sound from the period of the TX (VCO used)
- Detailed description of the assembling procedure in the net
