Virtual ground balance, vco picking up target sound among noise, is it possible?

  • #2
A VCO's virtual ground is a reference point, not a signal input. It won't pick up sounds. If you're getting interference on the VCO output, look for coupling in the power supply or control lines. Shielding and filtering are your friends.

Seems to be forgotten. I built a pi with a vco and sound amp added, not designed by me. It makes a buzzing sound like a ground balance, but it is a bit thicker. The depth is probably reduced by about 25%, but it excludes the red bricks and does not just bark like the white surf pi. I have not tested it in the field due to work. If you move the red bricks quickly it will still be detected. This may be a good start
