Since nobody else has replied, I'll tell you what I know about the Cibola/Vaquero.
After hundreds of hours using 4 different coils, my preference is to hunt open, clean ground with the big DD (in all metal) then switch to disc (trigger switch mod) just above iron to "see" what Ive got.
My last hunt yielded my first silver dollar found at an old camping site @3800' in the mountains. There was lots of tin cans and melted aluminum that I passed up because of how they sounded. When 22 shells scream at me from 2', I feel very confident that I'm not missing anything. When hunting in sand or old loamy, earth soil, it's like having a different "eye" but when hunting in the typical lowland soil around here, I feel the need to dig almost everything to be sure. I didn't start digging lots of older nickels until I started listening more in all metal.
Unless you have that same feeling of confidence with the IDX Pro I would say that is the advantage it has. It DID take me all those hundreds of hours to gain the confidence that I now have with that unit.
I actually described a "junk metal rectangle" in a friend's front yard, and proceeded to dig up a toy metal car.
I really do feel as one with my modded Cibola.
I hope to achieve this with the peak detector, can you give me the characteristics of Tx and Rx, and the section of the copper wire used for each coil. es that the detector works properly with the microcontroller. thank you.

I start to build Tesoro Cibola and i made some measurements and tests. I found something "wrong" about All Metal channel.
Cibola is non motion detector in all metal mode, i found this feature in user manual...
Everything is good when the ALL METAL channel is tested with iron (ferrous). The signal after phase detector increase to a positive value and i have audio response.
Tested with one nickel coin or other non-ferrous target, output signal after phase detector increase to a negative value. In this case i don't have audio response because audio stage working only with positive voltage. Maybe if i use THRESHOLD i will have one response from threshold value to silence (opposite, reverse response).
Feedback stage for "auto tune" was OFF because i want a non-motion mode without auto-zero feedback. With "auto tune" ON, i have response for all metals but is necessary some motion.
