  • How to connect buzzer?

Hi! I was wondering about how you guys cennected the buzzer to the surf pi card. I have searched the whole web and I can`t seem to find anything that describes it. Do I connect it to speaker? Much appreciated if answers about this could help me.

    Hello!
I simply connected a cheap 4cm speaker through a stereo jack connector that cuts the speaker when the jack is plugged in. The speaker is glued onto the wall of the box and holes are drilled to hear the speaker louder.
    Happy time

Thank you for your answer! Now, do you have a picture that shows exactly how you have connected the different pieces. I am not exactly sure about how to connect them.

It is quite a simple task. At first, you have a jack plug and a connector. You have to measure with a multimeter which pin on the connector goes for the ground, the left and the right speaker, each speaker have a common ground - in case you have a stereo jack. Then you have two extra pins, depending on the type of connector you have. These two pins should measure a short (0 ohms) when the jack is not plugged in and it should measure an infinite resistance when jack is plugged in. So when you put the earphones on, the speaker wires are cut.

You should do like the drawing above but you dont need the resistor there.
