I get the feeling that somebody is holding something back. To start this thread cnckecgo posted link to a PCB layout for this ELYAPIMI PLL detector, but without any accompanying schematic. Then within only a few hours, Ivconic had a schematic posted, which almost agrees with the cnckecgo post (but with some omissions and also a few modifications).

Eduardo had another slightly different version ready the next day. How does this happen so fast?

Where did this project originally start? It would be very helpful if somebody who is "in the know" would share the source of this inspiration.

Oh yes, i made it recently.
First i had to draw again schematic on "my way" to be able to draw my own pcb without mistakes.
Than i draw my own pcb, because i don't like original one; it is too largeeeeee!
                          Than i made it.
I don't have time to make proper coil for it, for now, so i just tested it with Tesoro coil (Tejon).
It is working! Of course; it is not working good at all, because of the not so proper coil.
But point is; it is alive and kicking.
                          Also it is promising.
Will have to wait for some spare time to make proper coil.
                          Cheers!

With improper coil i almost get good results considering air distances!
                            For a coin i get almost 35cm!!
                            Large iron even more.
But of course i don't get proper phase behavior.
With this coil frequency is 13.91kHz.
                            All the trimmers are working.
By now i put only trimmers on pcb to prevent much mess on my workbench.
Later i intend to add potentiometers.
I had troubles with some component values, for example capacitors 564 (560nF).
                            So i used 220nF + 330nF in parallel.
                            Also i used 8k2 instead 7k9 and 120 ohms instead 110 ohms.
Later if i find as necessary; i will try to correct those values.

So far i am pretty satisfied because i think that there are no mistakes in my schematic and pcb.

                            Pretty rare case!

                              Thanks Ivconic,

Did you change things in your schematic, becose you are confuse about some things.

                              How big is your pcb?
