those tracks are nice and sharp, not like my crappy pcb laser printing
what "bathroom witchcraft chemistry' did you use ? are you useing pre coated photo sensitive PCB ?

    • Nothing special at all. Film made using Xerox Phaser 3040 printer with 10$ refill toner on ordinary “paus” or whatever is correct name for it, semitransparent paper for technical drawing. This time I used pre coated boards, but POSITIV20 works equally well. Only difference is exposure time, POSITIV spray is more sensitive, pre coated board needs twice more exposure, but spray is sensitive to dust during coating. Light source is ordinary 125W mercury vapor lamp, with broken outer shell, so only arc lamp remains, ordinary type, not “blended”. Exposure time in this case was 15min thru 5mm ordinary glass from about 20cm, but this may vary, different pre coated boards may differ in sensitivity. Developed using sodium hydroxide solution in water. Small amount, around two spoons, never measured actually, of cheap domestic drainage pipe cleaner containing around 25% sodium hydroxide. Etched wit mixture of domestic WC cleaner containing around 10% hydrochloric acid and small amount of hair bleacher, containing 12% hydrogen peroxide. What a technology! Good news is, i'm not a bomb maker.

        • Hi.
Can anyone to tell me how much is the signal on the pin8 of D1 (MC34119 Tx)????
On my pcb this signal is 1.5 V p-p and i think that it is very low....
Signal on pin8 of uc xmega32 is about 250mv p-p.

          Regards

          • About that. Output can be varied with power setting, around 1.5Vpp by default, can be increased to around 2.3-2.4Vpp. On DAC0 pin, stepped sinewave around 600mV pp, after filtering, at R5\R6\C8 junction some 300mVpp pure sinewave, also variable. No problem with that, coil is series resonant circuit, coil voltage is slightly higher.

Coil voltage is near to 4.5...5 V p-p.
Signal on DAC0 is near to 250mV. After R6 is about the same but better sine. On pin 4 of D1 signal is very very low...
I did not adjusted the power from menu, so it is time to play with it.
Slowly slowly Kpot start to work

              Thanks....

              • Coil resonant frequency probably not adjusted properly (or very bad coil). Monitor coil current, use auto tune. Pin 4 is inverting input, almost no voltage is normal.

I did this with KROT1 already, switch over tuning capacitors, recall settings from profile and that is it. Multifrequency should work on different frequencies simultaniosly.

                  • Happy new year!
Voltage swing TX should be measured after the capacitor C1. For standard coil 45 turn and a frequency of about 8 kHz span about 15B.(After setting up the resonance!)
The voltage on pin 6 THMEG32 menyaetsya from 0 to 1V. Voltage on pin 4 D1 about 10mV.

I gave more power from menu... its ok.
I have a problem yet with coil.... but i try to solve it.
It returns a message about Rx Error.
Maybe from bad null at coil.....

                      • IB is the induction principle balance. Error PX says that there is no balance.
At least learn how to balance the coil to <1V..)
                        go gain=1,
                        Swap the leads RX

                          • Also check MCP601 and surrounding components, output pin 6 should be around 1.6V. Do you have error with coil disconnected too?

Yes if coil is disconnected i have Rx Error and Tx error. Is it good or No???

I have swap Rx leads without results.
Now about the coil balance... it is not so easy to null an comercial coplanar coil (whites Bluemax 950). When i disconnected the capacitors from coil it gave me an Rx signal about 500 ... 600 mv p_p. It tunes the Rx coil about 2Khz lower so it makes a phase shift near to 170 degrees and null the coil.
Anyway tommorow i"ll try another comercial coil and then i"ll make one DD as your details.
