i made the detector (modified version by Tepco) 3rd post in this topic
The coils are not finished yet , i made TX ~ 45 turns of wire 0.4-0.5mm c1 = 0.3 microfarads //RX ~ 200 turns of wire 0.15-0.22 mm C0 = 0.022 microfarads... just to shealld properly

The problem is: when i connect the power source , after 20-30sec the LCD screen start to light but nothing on it to read just blue screen light...And on the speaker constant beep sound (like vibration from telephone) I try to reprogram the Atmega8 chip few times the problem continues... All parts are like on the modified project by Tepco,instead of IC - MCP602 i use (MCP6021) so is possible that it is the problem, so is there any replacement for this IC??? Any suggestions help ??? thanks friends

anyone know if the software is free? ... you can change the menu and LCD and put it in Spanish?

1602 lcd hd44780

maybe the Software can be rewritten with a hd44780 library


or have anyone tested and winstar and hd44780 is equal for this Project?

A new firmware "Gain" for "Mole2". Try not regret it! )
MOLE - GAIN on 07/08/2015 6-17kGts frequencies. Added: Hardware input gain mode Gain (* 1, * 2, * 4 * ) Amplitude clipping "black" signals SX X = 0-9. Profiles are now are located in the factory setting "Factory Settings" mode "Profil" edit the profile name with the "0". The new profile takes effect when you restart the device. Entering the factory settings "+" and "-" at power up. Added a new filter F2 (deep for simple and medium soils). To go to the firmware will have to edit modes "Zero_Adc", "Battery", "Ferrite". Recommended settings for standard coils: frequency ~ 10 kHz, S22F2, Gain = * 2.0 (three stripes). Power = 80-120mA, HPF = 4. NEW

I'm in the middle of buildin the DIP version of this board. What capacitors are recommended for the build ?

ceramic disc ones ok for the majority of them? And for TX metalized polystyrene film?

I'm interested in using a large coil for this MD. (Over 50 cm) can anybody point me in the right direction for this ?

KPOT2 SMD version

Hi everyone.
I'm building the SMD version of KPOT2 with ATXMEGA32. I have two questions :
1: What do the 12th and 13th pins of the ATXMEGA32 do ? They are cabled on my layout version but are not cabled on the schematic... See Picture
2: How do you program ATXMEGA32 with USBASP ? I've seen a schematic of the wiring, could someone coment this ?
I've already etch the PCB, not so easy to make SMD board

I only have AWG24 for TX and AWG30 for RX. Is it ok for this project ?
