I finally started building this md but have brought a ATxmega32a4u-au ,has anyone used this mcu if so which version of the firmware did they use ? sorry if this is a dumb question but need to know if this will work or should I buy a Atxmega32a4-au instead ? regards Jamie.

Hi every one,
I made Krot-m years ago and it works quite well INDORE but on real soil -NIGHTMARE ! But with krot2-xm opposite! In My backyard it is unstable, poor depth and with 25cm(10") coil - only 25cm in the air on 25mm coin. Yesterday I try it outdoor and was pleasantly surprised. Without EM noise from surrounding, it works perfectly! Only what I have to change is diameter of coil, from 10" to 12" and it will work as it is declare. OK I know, there are a lot of DIY schematics of MD that can reach 30cm in soil but how much with so many potentiality like krot2?

Last weekend I was outside in the field, after searching the good things for a while and the unit was running quit and stable, my detector switched to the volume menu and stays in this position.
So I decides to change the firmware, but with the same result. Also with and without coil, I get only the volume in the menu and nothing can be changed.
Any help and suggestions are welcome.
