Thanks! Looking forward to getting out again. Currently we have workers here repairing our roof and others jobs so I'm stuck at home. Once they're gone, so am I.
I like the cork and like the box. Where are people getting the clips that attach the box
to the pole? I looked at the local building store but found nothing...
them clips, various different designs,
are found ( here in the uk anyways ) in most DIY stores,
B&Q , HOMEBASE , SCREWFIX , etc etc......
i like the thicker moulded ones,
they are tighter on a 22mm shaft,
some of them are thinner with strengthening ridges,
they don't seem to be as tight or grip just as good.
when bolted on with an M4 dab some superglue on the flat side
to the box,
so it doesn't twist.
maybe they are not used in construction as much as over here, my cousin worked as a plumber/gas engineer, over your side of the pond and said your building codes, and our building regulations were so different it was like redoing apprenticeship, simple things done here every day wont meet code over there, and vice versa.
I want to ask those of you who made the detector to work properly. What exactly is the setup procedure of the detector. Is it enough to get close to the waveform of the old radiobuilder or is there something that eludes me.
I made the detector in the original, and also modification of Reiv. The second detector (Reiv mod) has better sensitivity, but it seems inadequate - a maximum of 15 cm for € 1 coin. Furthermore, the board of Reiv works much better with antenna: d=240 mm, R=1.3 ohm, 240 uH than d=240 mm, R=1.5 ohm, 400 uH.
Please help with advice.
