Schematic is marked as LTC42. Not sure that LTC48 is the same?

Maybe a mistake when writing? I don't know.

LTC 42 and LTC 48 would be the same detector, I think.

I don't think that model of Blisstool is made anymore. The manufacturer is now onto version 5 of the model that replaced the one you illustrated which is quite basic by comparison by the looks of things. It was interesting to see inside the machine though. I expect changing the resistors on some of the pots would affect its performance and stability for one thing. I often wonder just how much the new versions are different to the previous models. I wouldn't be surprised if quite minor changes had been made internally and then the product re-marketed as being quite different. I'd love to compare the inside of a version 3 to the new V5 just released.

The image of the inside of a V3 Blisstool was originally posted on this Geotec forum by Henrikras. Looks as though the resistors on the pots of the LTC 48 have been changed to variable resistors (cermet trimmers) on the board itself. Am I right?

Often a basic model is further developed and "improved" (or not). It assigned a different number or name.!!
I thought it was nice to be able to see that.

Thanks for the image of the inside of a V3 Blisstool.

Thank Orbit, it seems to have a good disc (he stil reject no horseshoe from a hypodermic needle, but that may come )
I do not know what he says, and therefore it is difficult to give a comment, but I find it strange that he
continues the setting of the MD is changing. Hands off from the detector!!

he keeps adjusting it because the bliss tool can drift, at least ver1 and 2 did, my favourite model is the ltc12 really basic and not sold in uk ever i'm told. the newer version of this is ltc 27.
but if i could buy one thats the one i'd want.

I have no experience with Bliss Tool. But in the video, with the discrimination test in the air,
it seemed that at demonstrating the detection of the coin and iron piece first disc heavier instituted.
                      But I could be wrong.
