  • TGSL problem: constant beep

Hello all, im new in this things. Well yesterday i finished my first TGSL Ver. 3.0 from ivconic, but i have strange problem with machine. When MD is turned on, sound is constantly beep, like when we press horn in car. Also, MD does not have reactions on any metal, can somebody help? Does anyone on forum had this problem? Can somebody point me where to do?Please...

changed tranzistors (metal and plastic) - problem exist
    changed diodes - problem exist
    changed resistors - problem exist

Coil is maked by trusted man.

    P.S I dont have osciloscope...

    Thank's in advance

checking soldering joint on short &break - problem ....?

To changing part should not be first approach in such cases.
First check soldering, the orientation of your transistors, diodes, ICs, Elcos.
Then go from Audio stage back and break individual stage (ev. parts too by exctracting IC par example if you put it in sockets) till beep ends (reason could be somewhere there).

Thank's WM6, also i tried to remove CD4024 beeps ends, what to check next? Resistors are ok, and all IC's are in sockets. Replaced all IC's, only CD4024 i dont have at this moment to remove with another one.

check all triple leg parts for right orientation 2n2907 , 2n2222 metal or plastic can? not with picture from internet take only datasheet from manufacturer

but a constant tone on tgsl is a sign that it works, but still not right gogogogo

All transistors checked, first time i mounted plastic trans. now are metal. Also, tried to rotate for 180 degrees, no hope. My MD won't work, im dead man.

Can somebody tell me which voltages i need on CD4024? As i said, when i remove that IC, sound stop.

My tgsl work well at first time but after playing the resonant capacitor it producing a continues beep.. no mater what i do i cannot revive my tgsl to work back..i made many coil following in the instruction but still nothing happen..

Check soldering joints and copper lines around those resonant capacitor first.

i have this problem before try change 7808 or Try replace one by one IC

take out coil check voltage output from TX and RX
if not get 7.+v and 6.+v replace LF353

Hi cdi! The rx capacitor is what i means..

Hi paku! I will try replacing the 7808 because that the only one i havent replace.

For me, working Vladimir modification to reduce instability and autoscilation : change r26 and r25 20k to 200k (if use BF245 c transistor).

the linking to pcb and search coil is not the best, try using usb cable (whit wire shield)

Me too, only thing which is not yet replaced is 7808.

LF353 replaced two times without succes.
I get 7+ v for TX, in RX i get 0.56v only, why?
