  • Help with CZ-6 Discrim. Resistors

    I just picked up a Fisher CZ-6 for $40 at a pawn shop and it was modified by the previous owner.

    He removed the discrimination switch and resistors and put a 2 position switch. I'd like to put it back
    to original but am unsure of the resistor values. I have a pic of the resistors and a blurry schematic.

    Does anyone know the correct values?

    Going from the pics I seemed to find 850 ohms, 8.5K, 86.6K, 49.9K. 2.9K but the detector has a 686K on the one position...

    Well I have confirmed the 49.9K and 86.6K so I'm going to guess

    640K, 320K, 160K, 86.6K, 49.9K, 24.9K, open, Tied to + not sure if

    that's correct but I mainly want All metal, 0 Disc, and Iron Disc anyway...

      did he also add a pot for the disc instead?

        No No pot. It looks like you get Iron Disc or All Metal from a single DPDT switch.

          I found a way to make a 8 tone mod, not sure it would be useful but something to try;

          There's a distinct absence of mods for this detector...
