Question for Ivconic about your relic hawk schematic.

I have your schematic for the relic hawk, dont know where it came from,
but I'm interested in the +- 5volt supply which is simple capacitor split voltage supply.

I see its used for all the IC's , TX and the audio section
is this capacitor design really sufficient to handle the proper regulation of the +- 5 volts and current requirements of the circuit ?

What is the voltage rating of the caps ?
    Thanks 6666

    Look at U5b

      Davor was faster!
It's schematic of Relic Hawk reduced only on S mode.
Musketeer and Relic Hawk are almost identical.
      Here are both schematics for comparison;

It's been a while... i completely forgot about those schematics!
Now looking them back again; i see that i omitted audio transformer (a choke actually) at first schematic!?
Right now i am not sure why i did that!?

But most certainly second schematic is more interesting to analyze.

Мinelab works well but the best discriminator remains Fisher 1266.

I can't decide. Those two (Musketeer&RelicHawk) and Fisher1266 are so close when we judge on discrimination behavior on real soil.
I've spent several years with both on real terrains. Tough for me to decide which one performs better.
Sometimes only looking on their schematics; the one can have impression that one is better than another: but in real life is much tougher to be precise about that.

another Thing: lets build it and see how it performs as diy pcb plus original coil
