  • Sorry I Didn't Notice the Positive Ground.

The scheme is drawn according to the board Deepers 10DD.
Since on board Deepers +Batt. is the GND, then and on my scheme +Batt. is the GND.
But if chemelec and WM6 just said that there is some kind of mistake, then kt315 decided to mix me with a muddy.
Obviously it is such a gratitude.

Keep the scheme with the changed polarity of the battery.

This scheme is quite suitable for use. However, if you do not like this scheme, then wipe it off and do not use.

    • Nothing is wrong with the Schematic, Ground MUST BE the positive of Battery,
Shield of Coaxial cable,Shield of Coil have to be connect to Positive of Battery.

you can shield a cable on Negative of battery (using 2 wire cable). oh oh oh. that is new discovery
        for you.

NO DIFFERENCE TO USE THE CONNECTION POINT OF THE SHIELDING EITHER IT IS PLUS OR MINUS, but plus is more comfort only.

        duped people everywhere.

To clarify what KT315 is saying:
If you use a single-core cable with an outer shield (so-called coax cable) then you must have the positive rail connected to the shield. This (of course) only applies to PI detectors that use the positive rail as ground. However, if you use a twin-core cable with an outer shield, you can connect the coil using the two inner cores, and then connect the shield to the negative rail. Electrically there is no difference.

Personally though, I would always connect the shield to the positive rail, as this minimises the possibility of a short circuit across the battery.

they are like too bad schoolboys in the class. they are always need in especial additional lessons
under teacher's stick. then they write 'you had banned on all russian forums'.

yes, George. Ground for logic 4000 IC's series we show always Negative bat. IT IS MAIN RULE.

i choiced Ground artificial point on opamp divider in DP. it is standart in all schematics.

Not always, e.g on Surf-pi and Barracuda , Negative has to be the Ground (common) P-channel mosfet
in contrast of ...Minipulse, Deepers,Superscan, TDI, SD2000 N-channel mosfet
Delta pulse , change-pi ,Clone-pi ..are another story , they have virtulal Ground. ...
is mainly related to the connection of the search coil, and also is related how the op-amps are connected to the circuit , has to do with the filter capacitors of Noise Absoption of them and how they are connected, (sorry, i dont find the correct word).

there are some rules in electronics you may be do not know.
                - if i want to show you an open impulse on the N-channel mosfet's GATE then i do the oscillogram in relation to Negative bat.
                - if i want to show you levels on CMOS logic inputs and outputs then i do oscillogram in relation to Negative bat.
                - if i want to show you levels on opamps' inputs and outputs then i do oscillogram in relation to virtual ground.

all that is implied by experienced electronics and is not being discussed just all know this fact as default.

Whichever power rail is connected to the coil, you should use that as the connection to the screen. The issue of grounding can be confusing, especially when using the positive rail as ground, since different parts of the circuit may use other connections as a reference point. As KT315 correctly states, it depends which part of the circuit you are analyzing.

                  • OK for all are discussing here, I put these schematics, all Deepers Detector use Bat + as GND, see the power source scheme and you will seethie detail, very easy, All deepers factory design use the same system for + - for Op Amplifiers. IRF740 is a N-Ch POWER MOSFET. You may not change the design because the original design work very nice and stable. Is not necessary.

The -9v and +6v is with Bat+ as GND (0V) for all OP Amp. Deepers 10 DD, 2x1, X5 uses this. Deepers 8 and 7 use -12v and + 6v GND (0v) Bat + too.

                    • in my delta pulse schematic GND is virtual level, output of opamp. but shield of the housing and coil is +Bat.
while if you would asked me oscillograms i will give the pic with signals relatively to -Bat because
                      thats logically right.
i think your problem is low knowledge and poor experience in electronics.

                      • in my Delta Pulse board i use the shielding cooper pouring under every IC, either it is plus of minus,
as that is only possible there. just no difference what power line you use for the shield.
i took/noticed that trick from Deepers board layout be cause i am good schoolboy sitting
in first row in the classroom.
