  • Golden Mask 3+ (GMD 3 plus)

    Hi everyone,

    recently I got hold of an older model (> 4 years) of a "Golden Mask 3+" detector which seems to need some tuning.
    Therefore I am looking for a circuit diagram of this machine.

    This VLF / IB detector has a TX booster and boasts with a tank circuit voltage of up to 120 Vpp.

    For a more precise identification / comparison here are some close-up pictures:

    Thanks a lot in advance !

              @kt315:
              Thanks ! I've accidentally come across your post about making good PCB pictures.

              Unfortunately the russian schematic seems pretty different from the photographed detector:
              Maybe it's an early version of a standard GM3 or some 'prehistoric' model.

              Key elements are missing like the "IRF 540z" power MOSFET of the booster circuit
              or the potentiometer for adjusting the frequency.

              It features also a pretty interesting audio frequency modulation (VCO), at least for my ears,
              and a quad-op-amp "BA10324AF", which I haven't seen elsewhere so far.

                    I have a gm3 + and I would like to know the values of the internal potentiometers and what they are for.
                    can someone kindly help me?
