Very interesting. My son in law, was with Cypress Semi-Conductor, he was their Chief Engineer. He did a lot of reverse engineering, they sent him to China, to train the people in the China plant. After he returned, Cypress began down sizing, and cut and laid off engineers, from the Chief Engineer down. They then switched into production using the Chinese plant. Now that is not an uncommon trait among various business, from chip production into product production. I think they call it minimizing costs and maximizing profits. Even my daughter, was replacable despite her husband and her holding copyrights on some chips. My middle son, worked for a electronics plant in San Jose CA, and he was a real get goer, learned the chip business very well. So they sent him to Japan, to train Japanese in chip production. So he returned to America. What happened to him? Laid off too. So he moved back to where I live, found another job, but made sure it was not electronics connected. So keep in mind. Here were three persons, who were dedicated company people, did what the company wanted them to do, and in return, they got the sack... Keep that in mind! Minimizing costs and maximizing profits. When they can get along with out you, out the door you go.... So remember that adage, and prepare for something else. Or make sure you patent something that cannot be assigned to your company.
