Hi all,,,For a few months I've been looking for new projects to build. I came across a collection of files on a French detector site regarding the Bandido III. There was no Sprint layout files only images of the PCB/Silk/etc so I decided to redraw this PCB in sprint. I collected all the files I could find on the Bandido III on this site including wiring diagrams, Enclosure photos and Decals, Parts list, Mods and schematics. I've posted a photo of the drawing I have done in Sprint layout for people to see etc,,,I have not fully decided yet but I am thinking of sending the Gerbers off for some PCB's making once I have checked I have all the necessary information and re-checked my drawing for errors. Has anyone ever made this version? If not, can anyone say whether this version is worth me making? Thanks in advance, Regards, Marty.

H Altair,,, This is what I have at the moment regarding schematics. The document describing 'Supermode' is in French. I have checked my layout and it seems to be error free so I may order a few pcb's in the next couple of weeks. I have been looking for a new project since last Autumn and this little build took my interest. Is this version good to build? Regards, Marty.Attached Files

Hi MartyJ1963,
thank you for share the files. It's not a Tesoro official version: Bandido III seems not exist on market. I don't know if the schematic and components values are correct, but you have made a great work to design the PCB.
At this point, why not try to build it?

Hi Altair, Thanks for your kind comments. I am still checking everything with the schematics at the moment but if I feel that all is correct I will send for some boards and attempt to build it. I am uncertain about the coil data for this Detector,,I think it runs at 10.15khz,,,not sure? Do you know? Regards, Marty.

I built a surface mountBandido II uMax. My favourite homemade detector. Used it for abut two years. Doesn't seem to test to well. Not very deep. But when I use it in the field it finds more than most. Been on rallies against the deus and equinox and doesn't find any more or less.

Yes, I have read the 'Magnum' thread,,,I was going to try building it last year. The only reason I re-drew this particular Bandido was because I couldn't locate a lay file for it. It was easy to draw it accurately because of the clear concise images of the layout that I found and also the wiring circuit,,it gave me everything to build it really (except the Lay file) and I like the design of the board. I'll soon know if it's any good soon when I've finished checking it and make an order. Regards, Marty.
