  • Blisstool V5 Schematics

Anyone or place I can find one? Trying to figure out what all the trimpots on the PCB are for.

That would be a fine project for the forum. Are you thinking to redraw the PCB? Some closeup pictures would be nice.
    Cheers

Chips makings are deleted don't bother. There's no information for this board I would be surprised if it pops up.

I actually found the V5 with the 7x9 coil attached an excellent detector for coin hunting in schoolyards and parks.
Fast set up and away you go hunting. Discriminator works very nice.
Have made a few changes that improve on ground balancing and adjusting Gain. Making it more user friendly.
I will be looking at a few more changes this winter when I open it back up.

Did change the Gain pot from a linear to an audio taper. Since running past gain settings of 2-3 for the most part is not needed as per forum posts, Gain 3 is like Gain on other detectors at max.
Most run with a Gain 0f 0-2, making the rest of the pot rotation kind of a waste. By using the log taper pot, Gain was spread out making it more usable. See chart.

Ground balance pots were replaced with RV6 precision pots, making it easier to ground balance and get spot on. Making finer adjustments than the cheap Blisstool pots are capable of making.
