The comparators are two lm 393 , not lm339. I apologize for the mistake

It doesn't change the fact that the schematic drawing is atrocious.

Normally I don't comment on such things, but your drawing is so emphatically horrific, that it is shocking to the eyesight.

I'm sure the circuit performance is excellent as you stated.

You see, even if I were trying to mangle a schematic on purpose, it would be hard to replicate yours. It's truly marvelous.

You should take it as a compliment. In good spirits.

It would be good if we all contribute with the best we have, so we help each other and help others. We know that each of us has our mistakes but we have to correct them in an edifying way not to bring down the other.

Good afternoon. Tell us, if it's not difficult, what exactly did you like about the work of the detector? How does it perform on hard ground? Is there a video of work? Describe the tuning technique. How does the second tone work? Thanks.

Thanks bgs, but I don't have the BC517, can I replace it with an MPSA13?

Yes, there is no problem to use mpsa 13

The low tone indicates iron and the high tone indicates non-iron. If anyone doesn't like my schemes, don't look at them.

                    Hello bgs!!
Do you have an image of the PCB to be able to pass it to Sprint Layout.

I can't send you the board because the format is not allowed, I'm sorry. I corrected the notation of the scheme.Click image for larger version

You just have to compress it in Rar or Zip file.

Try making it a zip file.

Edit whoops someone all ready said it

                              I don't stray off topic.

                              The design is excellent.

The schematic diagram could be redrawn for a nice readable schematic. As it sits, it is a nightmare to follow.

So l did redraw schematic to make a nice readable one.
Now it becomes easy to follow the circuit, especially for construction and troubleshooting.

                              Thanks bgs for sharing.

The TX circuit is very good. Generates nice sinus waveform.
I have used ltSpice for simulation of the TX circuit all the way to the output of the phase shifters. It is working. All seems very good.
