  • Magnum 2

This is my first VLF detector I have worked on many years ago, the other day I found pcb and I decided to draw a scheme and to share it .
This detector is a modified Magnum does not require complicated switches to switch from the geb potentiometer to the disc it has excellent discrimination and two tone sound selection or selecting mute sound switches for the iron..A pcb is never drawn on a single pcb if someone wants to draw a scheme it is correct.

Thanks for sharing Orbit! What is the resistor value in parallel with 47n going to the RX coil?

It would be nice if there was a pcb layout file

ivconic does great drawing. It has quality drawings. I hope it will help. ivconic has achieved many successes

                ivica is a great master,
repeatedly asking for help is impolite.
if she responds positively to our call,
ivica shows the greatness of the master
                Best regards

                  I hear you!
I would very much like to draw a pcb for this detector.
But I noticed (as I get older) that there are periods when something is easy for me and there are also periods when I am completely uninventive and nothing works for me.
I often draw a PCB, and then I don't like how it turned out.
And not to mention the mistakes in the drawing.
I talked to Oribt about this schematic and he assured me that it was something worth further elaboration.
So i will try my best to draw a pcb for it as soon as possible.
I'll try, I'll start drawing, so if it's easy for me: we'll have a pcb soon. And if I don't do well; I'll put it off for later.

Hello. You have not indicated the frequency of the device and the data of the coils. If not difficult, add information. Also, tell us what you liked about discrimination and what is better than other detectors?

Thank you very much for your attention.
You add joy to the geotech form with your message, regardless of the subject.
Personally, I've been dealing with electronics for years, but I can't do things like PCB drawing.
It would be disrespectful not to value you.
                      Kind regards

First things goes first; let's adapt schematic for easier view and let's put labels and designators in order.
This need to be checked for mistakes yet.

However... i would like to "modernize" some opamps and make it more compact at the same time.
Instead single i propose duals. And here is my proposition; open for corrections and more better suggestions.
That's why i also attach pakced file, which is editable lay format file, done in ExpressSch (part of the free ExpressPCB package).
So to anybody can open it, edit and add suggestions:

Is it possible to connect the VDI unit from Roderico to this circuit?
