  • K2545 replacement mosfet IRF840 IRF740

Recently testing some scrap components I came across the K2545 mosfet made by Toshiba. Looking at your datashet the specifications are very similar to the IRF840 where in the tests I was surprised with the great result.

Easy to be found on tube monitors, has anyone on the forum ever used it in coil switching?

I have already tried different mosfets from scrap as coil switches. This works very well, look at the data sheet beforehand and check the mosfet for function

your discovery is good. you can use any suitable MOS-FET. but big nail in the coffin do you get more dept? or what?
yes, MOS-FET with big voltage is good but just for detectors like Delta Pulse, mean, with big power signal width, 400-500 useconds.
you do not noticed what detector you use. to your knowledge baggage the problem of zenner effect (do you mean it??) was fixed by HIGH VOLTAGE diode
        connected to MOS-FET.
for short TX signal width no sense to choice 600V MOS-FET be cause there is less 600Vp-p of amplitude of 'delta pulse'.
