            calibration?

I have two of these. One senses deeper than the other.
What would be the recommended procedure be to optimize performance?
I have a full test bench of equipment.

Forgive me if this sounds like basic stuff. If you've got the equipment you probably know how to use it.

Be sure and swap the coils to eliminate that being the culprit.
I think Qiaozhi is or was a Fisher repair person so maybe will help you if you send him a PM.

If that fail you can always dual-trace scope the open units side-by-side. Having two to look at is a rare luxury!

                1210x

                Bk,

Look on the schematic. Near the speaker is an adjustment "sens". Then look on the photos or your own board, it is next to the head phone jack. This adjust the sensitivity of the unit. The trick is to adjust it high enough to get good depth but no falsing or chattering from the speaker. Don't play with the other adjustments. This should make your poor unit better.

                Regards
                Mark

                    Hi,

the reading is LM13700, just google for it and you will find the datasheet. It's a Dual Operational Transconductance Amplifiers with Linearizing Diodes and Buffers.

I think it was a LM13700. See your photo in above post #6. You can see the chip clearly. Photo "fisher 1210 lay"

i meant that, not PCB. please do not mention LM13700. i just want to know what type on the sch.
i believe it is american made chip.

It says FRL510266, which is an internal part number assignment for Fisher. It is actually an LM13700.
