  • Wanted: Pinpointer schematic

    Hallo,
I'am looking for a good pinpointer schematic (for example the "Pocket Uniprobe").

    Thank you

Did you look on the main web site in the Projects section? I think there is one from Poptronics. Also, I have Andy Flind's project, which I actually have permission to post but never got to it. I'll move it up the to-do list.

      Pinpointer Schematic

Quink...if you find a schematic, I'd sure appreciate a copy. I've been looking for one too. If I find one before you do, I'll send you a copy of it.

      Thanks,

      Walt

Well would you really wan't to build one of these from a schematic. Maybe better to get hold of one of those really crap made chinease jobs and put it in better box with a decent switch. Or some people take to bits those nail/pipe finders they sell in DIY shops for next to nothing. There is also a ready made board for sale http://home.clara.net/saxons/probe.htm I tried to repair a chinese probe and there was about nine transistors inside. There is always a problem with some sort of rotary tuner though.
