Silver Sabre II Schematic Please anyone?

    I can point out at least one important difference between the SSII SMD version and the SSII schematic (post #10): in the schematic are FET demodulators, the SMD circuit uses a 4016.

    Unfortunately, the none of the SMD capacitors are marked... not only that but the resistors are not discrete components, they are sputtered (looks like ink) directly onto the PCB, with no markings there either.

        It's a hybrid board, so the resistors will most likely be thick film. These are screen printed and then laser trimmed to the correct value.

          FET demodulators, the SMD circuit uses a 4016.
          that was debated in threads of Amigo and Compadre many times. you can use these schematics for repair of the hybrid board. in reality it is TGSL, ivconic's hybrid chip na rassypukhe.

            Hi,

            Finally, I've reconvert my TSS2, and I don't know why, performances are better... 18 / 20cm for a coin ... I've just revise welds (soudures in french)...???!!!...

              "Solder joints" in English.

              Welding is different to soldering. Welding actually melts the two materials together, but soldering creates a bond by melting a low melting point material (solder) between the two surfaces without melting the actual material being joined.
