Here is the coil pinout for a Cobra II. If you seek the full schematic, it is pretty much a Base Baron from Discovery Electronics. The schematic has already been posted elsewhere on this site.

Here is a frequency shifter I built for a Cobra II or any other 12.5KHz Discovery Electronics detector. Inductor and capacitor values provided by George Payne.

Thank you for all this information. I too am in search of coils for the treasure baron 12.5 kHz Cointrax and Goldtrax. I am starting to think I may have to make my own. Someone on ebay who had sold a Discovery wide scan for the Barons said they had good luck using the the Viper series coil on his Kellyco model. I am assuming he meant the multi frequency coil for the for garrett Apex, they have it for the AT and ACE as well but when I asked questions for further information he clammed up and did not respond back. I am growing impatient in waiting for one to come along for sale and could use several but one would be great.

link to available new old stock 15 kHz Gold Mountain coils for the king Cobra since this thread sort of crossed over from cobra detector to cobra detector. They are not mine I just figure since they are not always readily available and people might not know since this person mislabeled them as Garrett Gold Mountain coils. I used to also have the gold mountain King Cobra.

That seems like too much for a 4.5" round disc to be shipped. We have it so easy in the US being a large consumer. I would definitely be making and tuning coils also if I lived in Lithuania, Balgaria, even Russia etcetera. I guess it is time I start anyway since my needs are greater than the current demand for them. I have only did simple PI coil for the surfmaster longboard years ago. I have replaced coil wires and made repairs but never really took the time to learn the craft of coil tuning.

I do have an older 12 kHz Tesoro coil to play with not sure if anyone has reported any real succes using one with the Discovery Electronics Treasure Barron or the Cobra II. The Gold Trax doesn't have much for VDI but the Cointrax module does. I also have the deep hunter module. I used to have the 6 x 9 discovery widescan. There was a Hot Head 12" coil available for it I was told, but that seems very unlikely to find. I read here that someone was going to try a DFX coil but they never reported back if they got the adapter right. All the information is present I just have to do it.

                          Indeed.

                          There exists some ads.

I have a question to ask. Do the physicists believe in upward causation, or is the world an emergent property?
