  • PI Discri schematic

    Hello,
Does anybody have seen this schematic ?
It look good, with a PIC, LCD display ... components are known, values cannot be too difficult to find.
If you have some more information ...
    Regards.

      Hello,

The reason why I have posted this schematic, is ... I have ONLY this schematic, and I'm waiting that somebody could have some more information.
I'm also interested to build it if software is ready to use, I'm not able to write it myself using Microchip Pic.
      Best regards,

      Michel

This looks VERY much like a discriminating PI, with multi period sensing. A rip off of a Limeban design, but a little simpler I think.

I'd love to write some code for it as it looks quite a good design, but time and family leave me unable to do so.

          PI discri schematic

          Hello,

I have investigated about this schematic ....
In fact, it is a Russian applicatiion based on an Australian original design.

It is described in an US patent well known in this forum (US005505506A) April 9, 1996.
If anybody interrested in a common (non commercial) project based on this idea, I would be happy to participate with my (modest) experience.

Anyway, I have started already an experimentation pcb layout based on ATmega32, but a Pic16F877, 80c51 or anything else could be used if the board is splitted in two logicals parts.

          Any comments welcome !

          Regards

            Hi Michel,

Very good !!! you have gotten much warmer, in fact you got it right.

            It is a Minelab schematic.

              PI Discri schematic

              Hello,

Ok, for Minelab, it's a serious reference !
But, this schematic copy looks russian.
Anyway I have an original subject (only ten years old) with theoretical explanation, some components values to adjust and a lot of software to write !

              Interresting,

              Regards

                CALL ME STUPID BUT....................

                i see vt1 with it's 12v supply and is driven from vt3 which has a 5v bias from r15,,,
                but...........what drives vt3 ????????????

yes , via r13 vt3's base goes to dd2.4 pin 12 , but this is the gate for the bilateral switch , not , a drive , so what drives pin 12 and vt3 ??????????

SORRY HAD A RE- LOOK , MY CONFUSION , not a single wire to gates , its a loom with numbered wires , silly me , yes looks better now like it would work.

ignore my last post , didn't look hard enough at the schematic , and mouth opened before brain kicked into gear , as usual.
