        Wow!

        Wow! Thanks very much Friends!!!
        I'll continue with this...
What about VMOSFET 0104..? What is pin order on schematic?
Rumensat, very interesting mods! Do you have pcb for it?
        Can you upload here pcb?
        regards

          Good Reason

Hi All. It was a good reason to come back a lot of years to remember the electronics. Yesterday i saw an article at a Greek magazine that shows the transistor as zener. It shows the first schema posted by Leto where the emmiter is not connecting. But with shorting (jamper) base and emitter it says that it is a simple current source. Also with collector no connecting we can use it as a Varicap.
Btw It was a article from 1974
Ivconic i think that we are very old now to learn new thinks. I believe that we are about the same years old. Can you tell me? At my country we says that it is not possible a "old donkey to make new walking", this is for me
Continue with 1266. I want to try it.
          Regards

            VP0104

Ivconic here again. I saw the protel pcb file where it shows the direction of VM0104. So if the protel file is ok then the drain is at 12v and the source is the output +4v. Try it.
Ohh.. i just show another shematic where drain was to +12v and source at gnd. So maybe we are right.

                I might be wrong?

I connected it like on photo? Might be wrong?

                    but?

But if you look in Fisher 1280 .... thread, on posted pcb and placements, 12v goes to Source...??? I havent checked it yet...i do not know what to think?
I do have only one 0104. If i burn it...??!!
                    Any other experiences?

                      Fail

                      Finally finished, and....not working!
                      Power supply giving 12v and -o.3v ???
Instead ti126 i put ordinary transistor.Later replaced with ZD3.9V and power supply
                      giving +5.8v and -4.9v...???
Oscillator is working fine. Quartz is 38kHz,later divided gives approx. 5.360kHz..
                      It is stabile,no drifts...
Nothing gets warm or hot, nothings burn....
                      I can hear "buzz,buzz,buzz..." from speaker...Volume control is working.Also
all other controls have noticeable influence on sound, but slice,weak...
I connected experimental double DD coil which supposed to work with,at least average.
                      Instead LT1007 i put NE5534 op-amp....
I have doubts about those transistors in power supply.None of those i put original!?
I had to find replacements so used BC549,BC416 and MPSA14....

I do not have clue from where to start finding problem?
I was thinking to start all over again, but this time with Rumensat's setup. Looks more
easier, without so many wires from pcb....
Rumensat can you post pcb for your schematic?
Geo,i do not know what to think about mosfet? I connected it like i posted here.
Not hot, even warm, not burned......If i obey you and reverse source and drain......
what do you think...is it gonna survive?

Besides, what is all about that mosfet? What kind of supply is that? What is its role?
Can i replace all that with ordinary pow.supply from Classic III?

                      Sheeesh! I'll rethink until tomorrow....
                      regards

Hi Ivconic. What to say ? I am too far to look the board. But i saw that -V at LT1007 is at pin 1 and at NE5534 at pin 4. Did you made this change?
Maybe later if i have time to see the schematic .. witch components you can use as test points.
                        Good Luck from my heart.

Replace with it from ClassicIII. One 7808, one LM358 and OK.
But i believe that there is not problem with power supply. Op.Amp's can work very good with double power suply but not good symetrical.

                            Aaaaarrrgggghhhhh!!!!

                            Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!!! Aaaaarrrggghhhhh!
                            No i did not...!!! Bye,bye NE5534!
Now all makes sence! I even reversed mosfet....and nothing!? Same behavior???
                            Mosfet survived again!?
                            .......................
I must be very tired these days? Last month i finished 4 different detectors.Quite
different setups, quite different "philosophy".....I guess i need few days rest..
Parallely,i am working on TM808.It is going very slow......Also i am doing some
preparations due making prototype of CoinHawk. Strujas is doing main job - drawing
                            pcb for it...
I also made another terrible mistake with 1266! I didnt mirrored pcb's !!!(or i did
                            by mistake ???)
So,i draw both pcb's reversed!? I had to solder IC's backwards! Some components i
soldered from one side, some from other side! Can you beleive it???
I was thinking, first to try and check it like that.Than,if it works, i planned to
make another pair of pcb's,but this time "mirrored"....
To tell you the truth,i had some personal doubts abot those pcb's from the begining!
Jackdetect was my dear friend, but i knew him very good....from time to time he used
to make jokes like that; to omit some connections or simillar...so i wanted first to
check those pcb's.....than to make another one properly....
Except that missing connection between pins 5. and 6. it seems that pcb's are O.K.
I am bit ashamed for my previous doubts...
Before Geo posted question above,i already did "the hamer" job on poor 1266...so now
                            i'll draw again those....ts,ts,ts...
If this experience of mine helps you people....than i'll be glad....
Geo,you may start your 1266 freely...it is gonna work, i am sure!

Hi Ivconic. Try to change R36/15k with a potentiometer and regulate it to have the same voltage .

Hi Ivconic. No i will give one try yet to Anker SS60. I made one coil and i want to try it before the Hamer (yes i found one 5 Kgr).
