  • OLD Garrett ADS GroundHog schematic WTD

I have an OLD Garrett ADS GroundHog. While some consider it 'cheap' to send back for repairs, the last repair and shipping cost more than I paid for the detector. I want to be able to fix it myself, AND to make my OWN search coils.

I'm a HAM Radio Operator and have been repairing and restoring circuits since 1981.

Search coils are LIKE antennae. They have to be RIGHT for the frequency they operate at.

    Thanks!

If the image comes through, a fellow found his late father in law never opened or used his ADS Deepseeker/Groundhog. On the Garrett Metal Detector page on Facebook. Makes me think both operated at 15khz. I bought a broken Groundhog and reworked the connector to fire it up on my ADS1. It doesn't like 1.5 khz. I wanted to install sturdier plastic for the mechanical connection to the rod, haven't gotten around to McGivering it yet. Then see if I can monkey around with the tuners for transmit and receive to go 15khz. The guy's name is Derrick Aldridge. Click image for larger version Name:	image.png Views:	0 Size:	1.25 MB ID:	424601
