KT315 , The picture of this detector is a MD-5012 !! The schematic you posted earlier was of the MD-5002. Please open a Seben 5012 and see if the schematic matches. Thank You Eugene

Eugene, it is very strange. 'MD-5002' is a marking on the PCB, but detector is MD-5012. a coil has 'MD-5008' marking.

KT315 , If the MD5002 board is inside the Seben Deep detector than the frequency will be around 6.99 khz and the supply voltage should be at 12 volts. I see the two switches on the pc board so you are probably right , It is the right board for this detector that is made in China. I wish you can trace a schematic for it when you have time. Then we can see what design they copied. Kind of like the chinese made classic 3 being sold under a famous trails brand which sells at a huge warehouse store !!!!! What detector has a big torroid coil on the PC board , not too many. Please Keep us posted on this detector , it is suppose to have good depth with discrimination. And it would be nice to Build and Test it. Thank-you again KT315. Eugene

Hi all. The detector is the 5002. the pcb is also from MD5002.... the same the schematic that KT315 post here. Before 2 years i traced a 5002 pcb and the schematic was the same with KT315's schematic.
It is a good and sensitive detector with bad rejection.
But KT315 it is very interesting at the way that make discrimination. It makes the phase shift at the detector signal....... (all manufactures make the phase shift at the Xmiter signal). Maybe to be the same but what hapened when the signal is very low ?????

Famous Trails?

Kind of like the chinese made classic 3 being sold under a famous trails brand which sells at a huge warehouse store !!!!!

So what do you think about the Famous Trails detector compared to the Classic 3?, and what model is the copy?

Nothing same with ClassicIII. Of course CL3 is a better detector . But with 50 Euro you can buy a Seben detector (MD5002),..... very good price (only for the 10in DD coil)

Actually some Viking detectors (and also Fisher) provide ground balance by phase shifting the receive signal. As far as I'm aware, discrimination is always referenced to the transmitter.

I will try,but as I already told you I dont understand so much and probaly I will have some troubles!
I will try to make PBC layout whit this program you told me!But I still cant find it in english,its only russian and german and I cant understand what is writen.
Did you finish and tested this project personaly?
How is the machine dealing whit hot rocks?
Can I achive this 25cm in real field conditions?Or its just on air test!
I supose that you dont mind to try to make your project,I think that its the oposite ist very rewarding fealing when your work is uprishieited in any way!
