schematic and HEX ? - something else?
in your case is better to buy from EBAY.
for me schematic is very useful to take idea and to make with up to date parts.
i made this with high speed PIC and some renovations and now my unit is better than XLT (for test i bought one from ebay)
much faster displaying metal type and signal level - dept
dept is 5 cm moore - coin 2 cm XLT -35 cm , my -40 cm
i have same schematic giving above
schematic is clear about connections but w/o parts.
parts you can take from eagle spectrum - analog parts.
digital you dont need becose it is syupid idea to use such old and slow processor.
for my project i rebuilt all filters with more effective high Q band pass filters, it took me 1 year to adjust this filters, every time going to mountain for test.
in the laboratory you can not fix them rite way - so much noises.
for this you need scope like Game Boy DSO.

Hi rumensat Yes, I know about problems for tuning filters. Portable osc. Is very useful For this matter. Also I am interest see your schematic. Regards.
Rumensat, I know this may be very cheeky of me, but I have an Eagle Spectrum and with the right settings it WILL beat a Minelab Explorer EVERY TIME...FACT! What I was going to ask is could you PM me with your filter mods (would these work on a standard Spectrum, have you tried them) and can I be REALLY cheeky and ask for a copy of your schematic and PIC code. I will NOT divulge it to anyone else and am prepared to make a donation to cover your costs.
Let me know I would be VERY interested to build one of these machines or just to mod up my trusty Spectrum.
