Hello , Since a few people posted some items on the 1280 and I was told its a good machine and very stable I need any information on the search coil and that 76.8 khz crystal !! Attached is an old sketch of parts placement. Please help with all or anything on what type of search coil , windings, wire size etc...etc.. Thank-you Eugene

The first proto workt ok, a DD coil was made for it that workt o.k.
Have made in Sprint-layout a smaller version, for use in a tube (for dive use) , all pots are on board. But... it is not ready yet, still need to finish it. There can still be errors in it.
For the crystal look at Conrad in Germany they have a 77.5kHz version -

Ap Berg , Excellent Work on the pcb board so far !!! Also 0.7 khz difference on the crystal should work. What type of DD coil will you test with ?? Let us know , and thank-you again for posting EugeneComment
