Did you have any reponse ? I also own a Cutlass and i am trying to make a schematic myself but this is not easy because Tesoro used a lot of wires and via's.

It is the same as the Bandito schematic except a few parts removed and a few wires in different places.
I have a marked up Bandito schematic that shows the differences.

        Tesoro Cutlass 2

        Hello Goodrat
I have read your old posts, but could not find the schematic . Would you like to send it to me?

        Regards

            Hello Goodrat

Thank you for the quick response, I will open my Cutlass today and perhaps modify.

I did not use a separate auto switch, just Disc, All metal and momentary pinpoint(re-tune) on one switch. Left the threshold inside and aded a 2 1/2 turn external GB (found the same Tesoro uses). But probably should have done the opposite. Took out the speaker too.
Also replaced all electrolytics with tantalum, a few other leaded caps to mil grade and rewired with Teflon 24 awg.
The negative supply is onl -3V. I always wondered what would happen if that was actually -5V.
Oh, and got me a Troy Super 7 coil for it.

                Pinpoint

I did this, with a SP3T switch to not need the separate auto switch. I don't know if Tesoro ever thought of this but makes more sense to me.
Actually I mounted it upside down from this diagram. (down is Pinpoint/Retune).
BTW, the -3 is only -3 because >8 volts would be beyond max volt of the IC.

I take that back. The 2262 can cave +/- 5V but this was discussed and does not matter.

I have a Silver Sabre 2 and the PCB actually has printed on it Silver Sabre II/ Cutlass II as best I can remember. You may want to checkout the Silver Sabre II schematic.

                            Thanks
Can you send coil information for?
Working on the ground to search for gold; How deep does the device explore the earth? How much does it differentiate between gold and other buried objects?
                            Tanks alot

                              thank you
Can you send the details of the coil?
How many meters underground can you explore to search for "old gold buried" with this device? How different is the difference between gold and other buried objects when working with this device?
                              regards
