Ground problem !!!

Of course! Expectable! This design is strictly "onesided". Produce audio only if "coloured" metal is detected......... or if you reverse coil pins, it will produce audio only if iron is detected.
Larger iron will mask smaller coloured item and vice-versa.
Reason why it is not work on ground is due fact that ground is masking other possible items arround. To partially avoid that masking you must pay a lot of attention on coil quality you made.
Or make a test. Dug a hole and put some iron in it. Cover good and try to detect it, but previously reverse pins on coil so it will produce audio on iron.
Than you'll see real depth of your coil and decide wheter is good or you have to make another one.
Second; to partially avoid gnd masking put coil on soil or 2-3cm away from, than retune device to achieve mum audio...weak. Than try to locate burried coloured item...If it is at shallow depth - will be detected for sure...
Main drawback of this design is lack of audio on iron items when coil is wired properly. Designer should add another one audio but with different frequency or pitch...Than we should have pretty nice non-motion detector with audio discrimination....like older Cscopes for example...
If you want to make a good coil, make one Sascho suggested on schematic...
But pay attention on nulling...it is very important here!

The coil is concentric like in the project. The discrimination in air is ok, but in the ground the metal is not detect !!

Help:I am in the brazil and I bought the tetetor MD5008, it came with defect, and me u need a lot of the outline and schematic to repair, I already contacted vary times OF Sr :Tom but eke sound tm even the entereçe of selling; and he/she doesn't give the warranty; Shangai Tiaxun Eletronic sells the apalhelho with defect and not of the the warranty nor it supplies an maitenance the outline. here in Brazil it is a lot of dicicil to repair. dusmenil rocha

MD 5008 LOOK FOR EVER

Hi Dusmenil! First i have to say; i am stoned with your English!!! Almost like my...too!

Second; dont worry! Although it is labeled different and put in quite different enclosure; it is the same old Micronta/Seben detector...(80% of its schematics is compatible with Micronta 4003)...
I dont have schematic, but i do have everything else;

There you can find that exact machine. Try to trace out schematic from pcb....At least you have some starting point.
I guarantee on this! I had chance to open that machine and saw exact same device as in MD3007...!!! Ts,ts,ts...

In the forum there is a schematic of MD5002 or 5012 from KT315. MD5002 and 5008 use the same 10in coil, so maybe to have the same schematic (at 80%). So try to find it. If you can't write here and i will look for it.
Btw... can you post a photo of the MD5008 pcb ???????

1.can I use this detector with ordinary DD coil?
2.I have made a new PCB acording Ivconics modification,so when tracing the components places I have noticed that this R6 near L2 is not right conected?
