thanks kt 315 for your suport for us
is neccesary one circuit simple and stable for beginers
and others advanced for proffesionals
put to phase in not easy
is nedded the diversity
the point of lots of ics is very dificultous in conjuntion
this group is very versatile
thanks very much
apologyes for my bad english
detectoman
Here maybe help with simple one, don`t laugh it works like some with many more parts & complex, DD coil any way maybe add amp for coil? good for starter. 5in in air and can find pin/needle close. is like IB.
Hello,
Can you please check and mark whats missing on this picture?
I cant understand why the C7 + goes in negative?Isn this capacitator reversed?
Thanks
This is how the "Pulse Devil" by Dave Emery works I believe.
I have heard that a second channel switched a quarter period LATER than the other then fed into the same filters used on an IB.
If you look at the Whites Classic III schematic and hang a variable resistor across these two channels, a discriminate feature can be added in this way. It's VERY similar to what Minelab do, but they use multi period pulses.
A VERY cheap, and deep discriminating PI could be made in this way I believe.
O.K. Folks,
i just experimented with various audios for Tesoro Golden Sabre.
I took VCO with LM566 from "Beachcomber" by Colin Dawson.
Didnt want to experiment on already made and workable TGS so
decided to test this on Sascho's pulse IB. In case something
go wrong and burn device, it would be less damage than to burn TGS.
But! It started to work PERFECT! Sascho you MUST try this and see
with your own eyes! You would not beleive!
This VCO improved Pulse IB so much....it is just not the same detector!
Now it is even more sensitive. Very fast response even on small items.
Sound is loud (adjustable) and sharp, and most important thing;
it has sort of short delay (changing even freq. step) so no chance to
miss small items in the ground! Wow!
Now this Pulse IB looks much more interesting! Worth of packing in
nice housing and set ready for real field! Very good!
I just cant wait to put this on TGS and see results!?
Very important step is to adjust very fine threshold, just about to
make mum sound....most sensitive! The rest is history! Heh!
Folks you MUST TRY THIS, YOU WILL BE ZEALOUS!
Regards!
P.S.
Device tested with Fisher spider coil. Coin 1cm at 26cm in air! Good!
This schematic have mistakes.Look at speaker:Colector on BC547 is connected to +12V,but BC547 is pnp.Second wire of speacer mus bu connect ot GND,not to -12V.When tip 122 turn off, only 12 Ohms limit this spike.

Hi,
Eh ?
BC547 is PNP now ???
Maybe for mineoro's designer that's so ... !
Or have you looked at arrows in drawing ?
There is the little mistake.
Sascho and Ivconic, WHAT A BRILLLIANT DESIGN!! I had two old defunct Fisher 1265's, which now are 100% PI discriminators.
A couple of questions though; What are the extra capacitors after the delay stage for, I mean the bit that goes to "no connection"??
What about a variable delay for adding a discriminate of sorts? I would try this but right now the two machines I built have been borrowed by my local club. A LOT of people ae interested in having these machines built.
Anyone know of a source of CHEAP Fisher search heads??
BC547 is NPN, BC557 is PNP...!? Of course!
Even arrowas are correct, only you cant see those clear, i had to rescale .bmp to .jpg and lower resolution to suit this forum demands and my dial-up limitations.
But hey, you dont need to look at arrows at all, i already noted BC547 and BC557....? Didnt i?
Schematic is accurate, no mistakes..Mod is working perfect.Pulse IB is worth of making, it is good, nice little design. I advice you to make it and see...

"Anyone know of a source of CHEAP Fisher search heads?? "
Heh, i would like to know that too! Fisher coils are good to use with rich variety of detectors.....I have one, tested on few detectors...work good with all..!
Sean are you familliar with CZ5 vco? How can i gain same sound with TGS?
